What is the difference between standard, medium and short head cone crushers?
Although the standard, medium and short head cone crushers are three different types of cone crushers, they are essentially a type of traditional spring cone crushers. The difference between the three is the crushing parallel belt and the short head type parallel belt is longest, next is medium, and shortest parallel belt is standard, as shown in the following figure:
The short-head type cone crusher with a relatively long parallel belt has relatively fine crushed materials. Generally, this type of cone crusher is used after the secondary crushing (tertiary crushing). For the standard type cone crusher, the crushed material has a coarse particle size and a high output, the crushed material can be used as medium crushing (secondary crushing).
Compared with medium and short head cone crushers, the width of the discharge opening of the standard cone crusher is wider, so the processing capacity of the standard cone crusher per unit time is larger.
